From Aspiring Mage to Game Developer –
The Story of JWGames
Hi fellow gamers,,
I wanted to share a few words so you can get to know the person behind JWGames. My hope is that these lines might interest or even inspire some of you.
I discovered my love for stories and characters back in elementary school. For a class assignment, I presented my teacher with a 10-page story about a young apprentice mage traveling the world, helping everyone he met with his magic.
My teacher was fascinated and told my parents that it was one of the most vivid stories she had ever read from a student my age. She encouraged them to nurture this talent—and so, I never stopped dreaming up new worlds.
Eventually, I reached a point where I wanted to truly put this talent to use. I realized that as an author, you can only describe a world, leaving the rest to the reader's imagination. But as a game developer, I can craft a story both visually and textually to create an experience that truly immerses the player.
That’s how I decided to become a developer. I hope my games are narratively strong enough to evoke real emotions in you.
Look forward to many more stories to come—we are just getting started!
It mostly comes down to my perfectionism.
I want to deliver something I am 100% satisfied with—content that still stirs emotions in me even after the tenth round of proofreading.
Additionally, I consider myself a storyteller first and a developer second. This makes the technical implementation twice as challenging.
When I have a vision for a scene, I experiment until the software allows me to bring it to life exactly as I imagined. It takes time, but for me, the perfect result for you is all that matters.
So far, I have written 12 stories for further exciting projects in a dedicated document.
My mind is constantly creating new worlds and stories; I am always thinking about my 14 projects. Whenever a spontaneous thought hits me, I have to write it down immediately.
Are you a game developer interested in helping me build the worlds needed to realize these visions?
Then I’d love to hear from you! I look forward to every message from like-minded people via the contact form below.
If it fits the world—absolutely!
Whether it’s an idea for a side quest or a funny dialogue with an NPC, I’m always happy to hear your creative thoughts.
Please keep in mind, however, that any idea will be carefully adapted to ensure it fits 100% within the game world and my artistic vision.
